So – i joined Streetcar! I finally did it with a lovely voucher from a colleague, giving me £20 membership and £10 credit!

So i can now consider hundreds of cars my own .. for pretty cheap! It works out quite nicely price wise too – i’ve so far spent £65, giving me a night and a few hours with a van, and an entire night with a 320d – for the Ikea / shopping trip! Ive also got a host of Golfs, Polos, Tourans, Vans and other random stuff within 50m of my door to test out.
Sadly i’d probably not buy any of the cars available; new or second hand – the BMW is just not More >

In one ovenable dish with lid:
1 amount of chicken
1 amount of canned tomatoes, onions, peppers and other interesting veg.
1 amount of taco/fajita spice
1 handful of finest cheddar
1 sprinkle of jalapeños
Whack in the oven, spread evenly in the dish covered in all the sauces+spices you like, lid on – wait 2 hours @ an average temperature.
Eat in some wraps, or with rice, add extra cheese / salad and enjoy!
I’ve literally just made this recipe up, ive never actually tried it, but im gona find out what it tastes like tonight – as i discovered all of the above ingredients therefore making this a super low cost dinner for 2-4.
An image google for Mexican Chicken suggests what this COULD look like:

So – what phone to buy? I was due an upgrade and spent weeks trying to figure out the best option.
In the end i chose the iPhone 4 as a test for 7 days, as it was my eventual preference – pending whether the reported problems actually exert symptoms in my real world use or not. And they didn’t.
My reasoning, explanation and justification (yes, these days you MUST justify your purchase of an Apple product if you want to keep any kind of reputation as a tech fan) are all to follow once i get another spare minute.

..more to come…

So I bought a bike using the Ride2Work scheme, in short you pay over 12 monthly instalments from your pre-tax/NI income, VAT free. Saves roughly 42% over the year, and gets me £1000 worth of bike and gear for around £600. bargain.
First bit of “new” transport i’ve ever bought, just wish it rained less, and the shower in the office that i have to use on out of hours shifts was less parp. My Fuji Cross Comp:

So – as yet I’ve been doing the 7.1 mile ride in to work, and back again pretty much every day I’m working since acquiring More >

Well, Wordpress prevails .. evidently.
starting to worry about the lack of security and misdirection of b2evo devs, plus a total lack of new functionality in any of the 2 major updates i spent hours applying. now i’ve finally converted everything to wordpress (god bless RSS imports, and lol @ all those idiots wasting hours trying to convert the database.. ). New design, new posts, new enthusiasm, and hopefully new mobile blogging soon.

Oh and in other news, i bought myself a nice fake watch in Asia, More >

Ao Maya, or more commonly known as “The Beach” yes, THE beach (found here) is a bay on Ko Phi Phi Leh, a small island in Thailand.
Having now visited, i can report here is the dream:

and here is the reality:
Now whilst the second isn’t actually a picture of Maya bay, it is ko phi phi don. It seems nobody publishes any images of what Maya bay is actually like now.. kinda like all the photographers are clinging on to what the film advertised it to be (myself included, photos from camera to follow..) by hiding the true reality of hundreds of tourist boats, a beach 3m deep and over a thousand tourists preventing any kind of real enjoyment or nostalgia from the film.

So, i’m absolutely shattered.
Could be something to do with the first shift back at work and the lack of sleep in preparation. Could be something to do with the amount of time wasted looking for a new laptop (and coming up short for ideas as to what i’d like), or looking into what new phone i should get – as that happens to be up for renewal at the same time too. Or maybe it’s the return journey from Thailand that’s still not caught up on me properly.
Thailand photos to come soon no doubt, along with the 5 other albums i probably owe people from events i’ve photographed.
Sadly right now im considering macbooks and iphones as “the easy way out” of a decision, More >

Protest anyone? in and around London’ers.
This has gone beyond ridiculous, the only adjustments to the bill were the removal of policies that make us in line with China for levels of ‘democracy’.
I’m sick of non-technical Politicians meddling their unqualified, inexperienced and total lack of understanding hands in the e-world’s business.
Get advice from the Experts, and LISTEN to it (just like you didn’t do with the drugs council.. who all resigned because you ignored them. well done).
This has gone beyond a lack of understanding and common sense, but is now starting to infringe on our rights! As the liberal democrats have pointed out – sites like Wikileaks (who today revealed american troops shooting innocent cameramen in Iraq) being closed down for whistleblowing.
This country is great, it’s leaders are not. Time for a change – who else worries it might get worse with conservatives(banker sleeze)?
